Barcelona 'reveal Neymar has told teammates he wants to leave'

Barcelona reportedly reveal that Neymar has told his teammates that he wants to leave, paving the way for a move to Paris Saint-Germain.

Neymar has reportedly informed his Barcelona teammates that he intends to leave the club.

The Brazilian star has been heavily linked with a world-record move to Paris Saint-Germain, and this latest development suggests that a transfer is in motion.

The 25-year-old was initially due to report to training today after flying back from Asia, but the club have confirmed on their official Twitter page that he has been given permission by head coach Ernesto Valverde to miss the session.

According to The AP, Neymar told his teammates today that he wants to leave, while reports in Spain state that the player has spoken of his desire to join PSG.

If the attacker completes a move to Parc des Princes, he is likely to become the most expensive footballer in history, with PSG reportedly willing to meet the player's €222m (£198.6m) release clause.

Neymar has scored 68 league goals since joining Barca from Santos in 2013.
