Neymar in no rush to renew contract

Brazil captain Neymar insists that he is in no rush to sign a new deal with Barcelona as he still has three years left on his current contract.

Barcelona forward Neymar has revealed that he is in no immediate rush to renew his contract with the Catalan outfit.

The 23-year-old is still on the five-year deal that he signed upon joining the Spanish team from Santos in the summer of 2013.

It had been thought that talks over a new and improved deal would start after summer interest from Manchester United, but Barcelona vice president Jordi Mestre recently revealed that discussions had not yet begun.

Neymar has spoken about his happiness in Barcelona, but has said that there is no panic to extend his current contract.

"I'm very happy at Barca and in the city, where I have adapted very well," Neymar told Mundo Deportivo.

"I have three more years of my contract and I leave these issues with my father. My only concern now is on helping the team and winning trophies . It's clear [I want to renew] but we will speak about it later."

Neymar has scored 58 times in 100 games for Barcelona.
