Liverpool consider a move for Barcelona's Seydou Keita

Liverpool are in contact with Primera Liga champions Barcelona over the possible signing of Seydou Keita, according to the Daily Mail.

The 31-year-old, who comes to the end of his contract next summer, struggles to claim a spot in the Nou Camp's starting lineup due to a wealth of midfielders available to boss Pep Guardiola.

While the Reds are believed to be interested in Keita, they may face competition from Anzhi Makhachkala.

The Russian side have reportedly made ex-Inter Milan star Samuel Eto'o the highest-paid footballer after he made the switch in August.
