Barcelona president Sandro Rosell reveals that the Catalan giants want to sign one more player before the new La Liga season gets underway.

Barcelona president Sandro Rosell has declared that the club want to sign one more player before La Liga begins in just over three weeks.

The Catalan giants have made just a single addition to their squad this summer, recruiting Neymar in a £48.6m deal from Santos.

Gerardo Martino's side have been linked with a string of defenders including David Luiz and Daniel Agger in recent weeks, and Rosell admits that Barca are still actively pursing a final summer signing.

"We want to add one more player to our squad before the end of the transfer window," Sport quotes him as saying.

"However, it's important to acknowledge that you cannot always get the player you want as some clubs simply don't want to sell."

Barca have also been quick to deny reports that Alexis Sanchez will leave the club this month, insisting that the Chilean winger is not for sale.
