Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain 'want to sign Caio Henrique'

Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly preparing to go head-to-head for the signature of Monaco defender Caio Henrique during this summer's transfer window.

The 23-year-old only arrived at Monaco from Atletico Madrid last summer but has impressed during the 2020-21 campaign, making 32 appearances in all competitions for the Ligue 1 club.

According to UOL, both Barca and PSG have both been in contact over a potential deal, with Les Monegasques seemingly facing an uphill battle to keep hold of him this summer.

The report claims that Monaco would be prepared to entertain offers of around €25m (£21.7m), which would give them a €15m (£13m) profit on the player that they signed last August.

Henrique, who has been capped by Brazil Under-23s on 11 occasions, only made one first-team appearance for Atletico during his time with the Spanish giants.

The left-back has five Ligue 1 assists to his name during the 2020-21 season.
