Barcelona less interested in signing Adama Traore?

Barcelona are reportedly placing increasingly less priority on signing Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Adama Traore on a permanent basis.

When Barcelona agreed a loan deal for the Spain international during the January transfer window, it came with the option of pushing through a £29m deal later in 2022.

However, despite a fast start to life back at Camp Nou, the 26-year-old is now only regarded as a backup member of Xavi's squad, a consequence of Ousmane Dembele's return to form.

According to Sport, Traore is now destined to return to Molineux unless Wolves decide to agree to a straight-swap deal involving Francisco Trincao.

The report suggests that that Dembele is now likely to remain at Camp Nou, while Barcelona's preference seems to be to sign Leeds United attacker Raphinha over taking up their option on Traore.

Although Traore has made seven starts and three substitute outings in all competitions, he has been used for just 55 minutes during the last three fixtures in all competitions, not making it off the substitutes' bench against Sevilla at the weekend.
