Barcelona 'considering Danilo Pereira swoop'

Barcelona are interested in signing Porto midfielder Danilo Pereira at the end of the season, according to a report.

Barcelona are reportedly interested in signing Porto midfielder Danilo Pereira at the end of the season.

The 26-year-old started his professional career with Parma, but has been at Porto since 2015.

The midfielder is also a 26-time Portugal international, and has previously been linked with the likes of Arsenal.

According to El Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona sporting director Robert Fernandez made a personal check on Danilo during Portugal's 2-0 win over Andorra at the weekend.

The report claims that Danilo is viewed as a long-term replacement for Sergio Busquets, and Barcelona are seriously considering a move for the powerful midfielder at the end of the 2017-18 campaign.

Danilo was a part of the Portugal squad that won Euro 2016 in France last summer.
