Arthur 'holding out for more lucrative Juventus deal'

Barcelona midfielder Arthur is reportedly looking for a more lucrative contract at Juventus before agreeing to join the Italian champions this summer.

The speculation surrounding the Brazil international's future has gathered pace in recent days, with the midfielder allegedly set to be part of a swap deal with Miralem Pjanic.

According to Sky Sport, the two clubs are getting closer when it comes to an agreement, but Arthur is attempting to secure a more lucrative contract before agreeing to sign on the dotted line.

The South American was initially reluctant to leave Camp Nou ahead of the 2020-21 campaign but has allegedly now changed his mind regarding his future at the club.

Arthur has scored four times and contributed four assists in 27 appearances for the Spanish champions during the 2019-20 campaign.

Barca are due to continue their La Liga season away to Celta Vigo on Saturday afternoon, but the midfielder's involvement is in doubt due to the speculation surrounding his future.
