Barcelona vs. Real Sociedad: Predicted XI for Hansi Flick's side in La Liga affair

Flick to make changes: How Barcelona could line up against Real Sociedad

Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick will make changes to his side for Sunday's La Liga clash with Real Sociedad.

The Catalan giants will enter the contest off the back of a spectacular 4-4 draw with Atletico Madrid in the first leg of their Copa del Rey semi-final, and there will be alterations from that contest.

Ronald Araujo, Gavi and Robert Lewandowski are likely to earn recalls against Real Sociedad, with Inigo Martinez, Dani Olmo and Ferran Torres potentially dropping down to the bench.

Marc Casado is an option to feature in the holding midfield role, but Frenkie de Jong has gained the trust of Flick with a string of excellent performances and should continue in the middle.

Barcelona remain without the services of long-term absentees Marc Bernal and Marc-Andre ter Stegen, but Andreas Christensen has been cleared to feature after a recent injury problem.

The Catalan outfit are therefore in good shape at the moment in terms of their squad, but Flick cannot afford to rest players ahead of next week's Champions League last-16 first leg against Benfica.

As a result, there will again be a spot down the right for Lamine Yamal, who is having another outstanding campaign, with the 17-year-old managing 11 goals and 17 assists in 34 appearances in all competitions.

Barcelona possible starting lineup: Szczesny; Kounde, Araujo, Cubarsi, Balde; De Jong, Pedri; Yamal, Gavi, Raphinha; Lewandowski
