Barcelona's La Liga clash with Osasuna is officially rescheduled for March 27, and the Catalan giants will not be able to call upon either Raphinha or Ronald Araujo for the contest.

Barcelona's La Liga clash with Osasuna has been rescheduled for March 27, and the Catalan giants will not be able to call upon either Raphinha or Ronald Araujo for the contest due to international commitments.

Earlier this week, the RFEF and La Liga revealed that the game would take place on March 27, but both Barcelona and Osasuna launched an appeal in the hope that the fixture would be moved to a different date.

Neither club has been successful, and it is now confirmed that the game will take place at Estadi Olimpic Lluís Companys on March 27.

Raphinha will be in action for Brazil against Argentina on March 25, so he will not be available for the match, while Araujo's Uruguay team will take on Bolivia on the same night, also ruling him out of the league affair.

In theory, the rest of Barcelona's players currently on international duty will be available, but it will be a quick turnaround from that match to the team's final game of the month against Girona on March 30.

Barcelona will face Osasuna in rescheduled game on March 27

The La Liga game with Osasuna had initially been scheduled for March 8, but the fixture was postponed shortly before kickoff following the tragic news that Barcelona's first-team doctor Carles Minarro Garcia had passed away.

The Barcelona players are said to have been made aware of Garcia's death upon their arrival at the stadium, and it was therefore decided that the fixture would be postponed.

Raphinha's absence will be particularly damaging for Barcelona considering that the 28-year-old has been in extraordinary form this season, scoring 27 goals and registering 20 assists in 42 appearances in all competitions.

Araujo, meanwhile, has only featured on 12 occasions this term, with the Catalan giants being careful when it comes to his fitness, as he returned from a long-term hamstring injury in January.

How have Barcelona performed in La Liga this season?

Even with a game in hand, Barcelona are top of the La Liga table, ahead of second-placed Real Madrid on the head-to-head record.

Hansi Flick's side entered the March international break off the back of an incredible 4-2 win over Atletico Madrid at Wanda Metropolitano, coming from two goals behind to beat the Red and Whites in the latter stages.

Barcelona have won 19, drawn three and lost five of their 27 league matches this season, while they are comfortably the highest scorers in Spain's top flight in 2024-25, finding the back of the net on 75 occasions, with 22 of those coming from Robert Lewandowski.
