Barcelona injury, suspension list and return dates vs. Atletico Madrid: Raphinha, Frenkie de Jong, Alejandro Balde, Jules Kounde latest

Raphinha, De Jong, Balde, Kounde updates: Barcelona injury, suspension list vs. Atletico

Barcelona will be aiming to make it six straight wins in La Liga when they resume their domestic campaign against Atletico Madrid on Saturday night.

Hansi Flick's side are currently top spot of the La Liga table ahead of second-placed Real Madrid, four points clear of their bitter rivals with nine games left to play.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Barcelona's injury and suspension news ahead of their clash with Atletico, who occupy fourth spot in Spain's top flight.

Raphinha

Status: Out

Type of injury: Hamstring

Possible return date: May 3 (vs. Osasuna)

Raphinha suffered a hamstring injury while representing Brazil during the March international break, and the attacker will be on the sidelines until the start of next month.

Andreas Christensen

Status: Out

Type of injury: Knee

Possible return date: Unknown

Christensen is facing a lengthy period on the sidelines after suffering an ACL injury during a training session earlier this year - the Denmark international's contract is also due to expire at the end of the campaign, so he may have played his last game for the club.

Frenkie de Jong

Status: Out

Type of injury: Hamstring

Possible return date: April 8 (vs. Atletico)

De Jong will again miss out this weekend due to a hamstring issue, but the midfielder should be back for the team's Champions League quarter-final first leg against Atletico on April 8.

Alejandro Balde

Status: Minor doubt

Type of injury: Hamstring

Possible return date: April 4 (vs. Atletico)

Balde has been missing since the start of March due to a hamstring issue, but the Spaniard is being backed to return to the squad against Atletico.

Jules Kounde

Status: Minor doubt

Type of injury: Hamstring

Possible return date: April 4 (vs. Atletico)

Kounde, like Balde, suffered a hamstring injury in the early stages of March, but the Frenchman is also being backed to make his return against Diego Simeone's side.
