Sports Mole looks at how Barcelona could line up in Saturday's La Liga clash with Rayo Vallecano.

Barcelona were facing a battle against the clock to register their new signings for Saturday's 2022-23 La Liga opener against Rayo Vallecano at Camp Nou.

Andreas Christensen, Franck Kessie, Raphinha and Robert Lewandowski have all allegedly now been registered for the contest, but fellow new addition Jules Kounde will have to wait to make his debut.

The contract renewals of Sergi Roberto and Ousmane Dembele have also reportedly been registered, so the duo should be available for selection against Rayo.

Raphinha, Lewandowski and Christensen could be named in the starting side on Saturday, while Dembele is the favourite for the position on the right-side of the front three.

Barcelona are sweating on the fitness of Ferran Torres, who has been battling a foot problem during pre-season, but the Spaniard is the team's only injury concern at this stage.

Ronald Araujo could start at right-back against Rayo, with Christensen possible featuring alongside Eric Garcia in the middle of the back four, leaving Gerard Pique on the bench.

Gavi and Pedri might join Sergio Busquets in midfield, with Frenkie de Jong unlikely to be considered for a start amid the ongoing speculation surrounding his future.

Barcelona will be monitoring Ansu Fati's fitness in the early stages of the season due to his recent injury problems, so the Spaniard is not likely to be in the first XI here.

Barcelona possible starting lineup: Ter Stegen; Araujo, Christensen, E Garcia, Alba; Gavi, Busquets, Pedri; Dembele, Lewandowski, Raphinha
