Thiago: 'We had to be imposing'

Barcelona midfielder Thiago has insisted that the Catalans had to "impose" themselves on Athletic Bilbao on Saturday.

Barcelona triumphed 2-0, to move within six points of La Liga leaders Real Madrid, and Thiago believes their superior skill paid off.

"We knew that they always would run more than us, even though we ran a lot, so we had to impose our game on Bilbao," the 20-year-told reporters.

Thiago has made 37 appearances for Barcelona this season.
