Raphinha and Eric Garcia both score their first goals for Barcelona either side of a Robert Lewandowski strike as Xavi's men ease past Sevilla with a 3-0 win.

Summer signing Raphinha scored his first goal for Barcelona as Xavi's side ran out comfortable 3-0 winners over Sevilla at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium this evening.

Robert Lewandowski was also on the scoresheet once again - his fifth goal in four Barcelona appearances since joining from Bayern Munich - before Eric Garcia capped off the scoring with what was also his first goal for the club.

The result sees Barcelona move up to second in the La Liga table having taken 10 points from a possible 12 so far, with only Real Madrid above them after they maintained their perfect start to the campaign earlier in the day.

Barcelona have now lost just one of their last 31 games against Sevilla, whose poor start to the season continues to leave them still with only one point to their name after four games.

The deadlock was broken shortly past the 20-minute mark when Barca hit their hosts on the counter-attack, Raphinha opening his account for the club with a simple header from close range after Lewandowski's attempted chip had been partially cleared off the line by Fernando.

Raphinha came close again moments later, but Barcelona would not have to wait long for their second of the night as Jules Kounde came back to haunt the club he left for Camp Nou in the summer.

The defender floated a defence-splitting pass forward for Lewandowski, who beat the offside trap before chesting the ball down and firing a volley past the keeper.

Kounde had a chance to do even more damage to his former club when he missed a golden opportunity on the stroke of half time, while Ousmane Dembele also came close before the interval.

Kounde then registered his second assist of the night by knocking the ball across for Garcia, who tucked it home easily for his first Barca goal.

It could have been more for the visitors too, with Bono denying Lewandowski twice and Frenkie de Jong also coming close on two occasions.

Barca were forced to settle for the 3-0 win, though, as they kept the pressure on Madrid at the top of the table and left Sevilla still searching for their first win of the campaign.
