Lionel Messi has reportedly been offered the chance to wear the number 30 shirt for Paris Saint-Germain.
The Argentine bid an emotional farewell to Barcelona during a press conference at the weekend and is now understood to be on the verge of signing for PSG.
Messi's former Barcelona teammate Neymar reportedly offered his fellow South American the chance to wear the number 10 jersey at the Parc des Princes, but the six-time Ballon d'Or winner turned down that proposal.
According to Marca, Messi is likely to sport the '30' during his time with Mauricio Pochettino's side, with it being the number he wore during his first two seasons in the Barcelona team.
Messi also sported the '19' for two years at Barcelona between 2006 and 2008, although that number is currently in use at PSG by Pablo Sarabia, while the 30 belongs to fourth-choice goalkeeper Alexandre Letellier.
The 34-year-old is expected to pen a two-year deal with Pochettino's side and leaves Barcelona having won 10 La Liga titles and four Champions League crowns since 2005.
