Neymar tells Messi he will miss him

Neymar has confirmed that he is leaving Barcelona by replying to Lionel Messi's farewell message on social media.

The Spanish giants confirmed today that the Brazilian has informed the club that he wants to end his four-year spell at Camp Nou.

The 25-year-old has been given permission to miss the team's training sessions as he looks to finalise his exit, with Paris Saint-Germain expected to sign the prolific attacker.

The Ligue 1 club are prepared to smash the world-record transfer fee by meeting Neymar's €222m (£198m) release clause, and reports have claimed that the deal could be wrapped up by next week.

Five-time Ballon d'Or winner Messi, who formed a scintillating partnership with Neymar and Luis Suarez, bid farewell to his teammate on Instagram.

According to The Telegraph, Neymar responded to the post by writing: "Thank you brother. I will miss you!"

The 'MSN' trio have scored 364 goals for Barcelona.
