Liverpool target Barcelona's Cristian Tello

Barcelona's highly-rated youngster Cristian Tello has been linked with a loan move to Liverpool.

The 20-year-old, who can play as a forward or a winger, has caught the eye of the Reds' director of football Damien Comolli, The Mirror reports.

Tello is under contract with the Spanish giants until 2014, but manager Josep Guardiola is expected to make a decision on whether to loan him out to gain experience at the end of the season.

Tello joined Barcelona from Espanyol in 2010. He has represented Spain at Under-23 level this season, and scored three goals in eight appearances for his club.
