Jonathan dos Santos to undergo knee operation

Barcelona midfielder Jonathan dos Santos will undergo knee surgery on Tuesday.

The Mexican, who is expected to be on the sidelines for the next six months, picked up the injury during a training session with the Spanish champions two weeks ago.

Anterior cruciate ligament damage was later revealed in a scan, meaning that the 23-year-old will need surgery to mend the issue.

Dos Santos, who has made just three appearances for the Catalan outfit this season, had been previously linked with a loan move to Real Sociedad.
