Barcelona officially announce a deal to being in Tito Vilanova as Pep Guardiola's replacement.

Barcelona have successfully concluded contract talks with new head coach Tito Vilanova.

The Catalan giants have announced on their official website that the 42-year-old trainer will sign a two-year contract on Friday.

Following the departure of Pep Guardiola, who opted not to renew his contract earlier this year, Barcelona were in the market for a new coach. It was revealed on the day that Guardiola announced his departure that Vilanova would replace the former club captain at the helm, and an official agreement has now been reached.

"Vilanova will sign his contract on June 15. The presentation will take place on Friday at the Nou Camp," Barcelona said on their official Twitter feed.

Vilanova joined Barcelona as assistant to Guardiola at the club's B team in 2007, before being promoted with the former Barcelona boss to the senior side the following year.
