Barca to hijack Madrid bid for Paul Pogba?

Barcelona are reportedly hopeful of hijacking Real Madrid's bid for Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba this summer.

The 26-year-old's future has been one of the most discussed topics of recent transfer windows, and this summer's looks to be no different following a poor season for United which saw them miss out on Champions League football.

United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is expected to oversee a significant overhaul of his squad which could include shipping out high-profile players such as Pogba, Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku.

Real Madrid have long been favourites to sign Pogba following a disappointing campaign of their own, but the Frenchman's wage demands of more than £13m per year are understood to have stalled negotiations.

Tuttosport now claims that Barcelona are hopeful of beating their bitter rivals to the signature of Pogba by launching a £130m offer to United.

The Spanish champions have already bolstered their midfield with the addition of Frenkie de Jong, while they have also been heavily linked with big-money moves for Matthijs de Ligt and Antoine Griezmann this summer.
