How Barcelona could line up against Osasuna

Sports Mole looks at how Barcelona could line up in Sunday's La Liga clash with Osasuna.

Barcelona will switch their attention back to La Liga this weekend as they prepare to welcome Osasuna to Camp Nou for what is a key fixture.

The Catalan giants thumped Dynamo Kiev 4-0 in the Champions League on Tuesday night to secure their spot in the last-16 stage of the competition with two games to spare.

Ronald Koeman's side have struggled domestically this season, though, with last weekend's 1-0 defeat at Atletico Madrid leaving them down in 13th position in the table.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how Barca could line up on Sunday afternoon.

Both Lionel Messi and Frenkie de Jong were rested for Tuesday's Champions League clash, but the pair should return to the starting XI on Sunday afternoon.

Barca still have their injury problems, with Samuel Umtiti, Ronald Araujo and Ansu Fati unavailable, while Sergi Roberto will miss out with the muscular issue that he picked up against Atletico.

Gerard Pique will also be absent for an extended period due to the knee injury that he suffered against Diego Simeone's side, but the centre-back does not need surgery and could return before the end of the season.

Barca's problems at the back mean that Oscar Mingueza, who made his first-team debut against Dynamo, should keep his spot alongside Clement Lenglet in the middle of the defence, while Sergino Dest should earn another starting role at right-back.

Sergio Busquets is in the latter stages of his recovery from a knee injury and could be available, although Koeman is unlikely to take any risks with the experienced midfielder, meaning that Miralem Pjanic could feature once again.

Philippe Coutinho is also pushing for a start, and the Brazilian's return from injury could see Pedri drop to the bench, with Antoine Griezmann and Ousmane Dembele both expected to be in the starting XI.
