Sports Mole rounds up Barcelona's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Wednesday's Spanish Super Cup with Real Sociedad.

Barcelona will be looking to make it four victories in a row when they take on Real Sociedad in the semi-finals of the Spanish Super Cup on Wednesday night.

Ronald Koeman's side have been in impressive form since the turn of the year and will enter this contest off the back of a 4-0 victory at Granada in La Liga.

The winner of Wednesday's semi-final will take on either Real Madrid or Athletic Bilbao in the final of the competition on Sunday night.

Gerard Pique had to be replaced against Atletico on November 21 after picking up an injury to his right knee, and the centre-back is facing a long period on the sidelines, having suffered medial and cruciate ligament damage.

Ronald Araujo was due to start Saturday's clash with Granada but picked up a thigh injury in the warm up, and the centre-back is now a major doubt for this contest.


Clement Lenglet was banned for the La Liga clash with Granada, but the Frenchman is available for this match, and Barca have no other suspension concerns for the semi-final.
