Half-Time Report: Barcelona in control against Athletic Bilbao

Barcelona have a 3-0 half-time lead over Athletic Bilbao in tonight's La Liga encounter at the Camp Nou.

A win for Barca this evening would see them record the best start to a season by any club in the league's 113-year history.

The hosts took the lead in the 22nd minute when Gerard Pique fired in the rebound from six yards after Cesc Fabregas's initial effort had been saved from a corner.

They doubled their advantage just minutes later as Fernando Amorebieta could only hack Lionel Messi's goal-bound effort into his own net.

It was 3-0 in the final moments of the first half through Adriano's powerful finish.
