Barcelona forward Lionel Messi insists that his side still have work to do in their Champions League semi-final with Liverpool.

Lionel Messi has insisted that Barcelona still have work to do in order to reach the Champions League final.

The Catalan giants were pushed by Liverpool in the first leg of the last-four tie at Camp Nou on Wednesday night, but a late double from Messi helped his side to a 3-0 victory.

Liverpool must score three times in order to maintain hope of a second successive appearance in the final, but Messi has said that Barcelona cannot afford to be complacent ahead of the trip to Anfield.

The Argentine is quoted by the Daily Mail as saying: "We were so close to the fourth goal at the end.

"The 3-0 is a very good result but it's not definite because we are going to a great stadium where the crowd will really get behind their team."

The reverse fixture in England takes place on Tuesday, May 7.
