Andres Iniesta: 'Barcelona are peaking at the right time'

Andres Iniesta believes that Barcelona are peaking at the perfect time following their Champions League triumph over Paris Saint-Germain.

Andres Iniesta has claimed that Barcelona are peaking at the perfect time after they booked their place in the Champions League semi-finals.

Luis Enrique's side completed a 5-1 aggregate success over Paris Saint-Germain at Camp Nou on Tuesday evening, and Iniesta believes that the performance was further proof that the team are still improving.

"It was not easy at all, despite us having the 3-1 advantage. We're peaking at a great time by playing well at the end of the season," he told reporters after the 2-0 win in the second leg. "We have gone from strength to strength, which is what it should be like.

"We're in great form but we know that matches can be decided by the smallest of details. We know that our presence in the semi-finals is important, though, and it's great that we made it that far."

Barcelona will now turn their focus to La Liga action ahead of Saturday's trip to Espanyol.
