Adriano Galliani insists that Wednesday night's Champions League tie with Barcelona is not a foregone conclusion despite the Spaniards being the favourites.

AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has insisted that just because a side is the favourite does not mean that they will win a football match.

Galliani's Milan face Barcelona in the first leg of the Champions League last-16 clash on Wednesday night and he has said that the Spanish side are not the only ones with "big players".

"Barcelona are the favourites because they have Messi, and are the most powerful side of all time, but the favourites do not always win," ANSA quotes Galliani as saying.

"We have our big players and we will go into the game with confidence."

Milan are on a good run of form and are unbeaten in seven Serie A games.
