Cesc Fabregas is confident that Barcelona can improve their form and reach the Champions League quarter-finals.

Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas has insisted that his side are confident they can overturn the 2-0 deficit to AC Milan in the Champions League last 16.

Fabregas admitted that the defeat hit the morale in the Barca squad but that they are now ready to perform once more on the big stage.

"As a team, we are feeling okay," UEFA.com quotes his as saying. "The Milan loss [affected us] with the defeats to Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey and La Liga.

"However, this group of players is more than capable of producing the goods in the big matches, we have shown we can do so in the past and nobody doubts that we can do it again."

The second leg takes place on Tuesday night.
