Josep Maria Bartomeu: 'Barcelona deserve Champions League final place'

Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu believes that his side deserve their place in the final of the Champions League following a "great season".

Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu has expressed his belief that the team deserve their place in the final of the Champions League.

The La Liga leaders progressed to the Berlin showpiece this evening courtesy of a 5-3 aggregate triumph, despite losing the second leg 3-2 at the Allianz Arena.

Barca are still well on course for the treble this season, and Bartomeu has been delighted with how things have gone in Luis Enrique's debut campaign at the helm.

"Final berth deserved after great season by the whole team. Fourth time in ten years, pride for all Barça supporters. Congratulations!" he wrote on Twitter.

The Blaugrana will face either Juventus or bitter rivals Real Madrid in the final at the Olympiastadion on June 6.
