Agent: 'Tottenham Hotspur only contenders for Bernard'

The agent of Bernard has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are the "only contenders" to sign the Atletico Mineiro midfielder.

The Premier League club have been heavily linked with a move for the 20-year-old Brazilian international in recent weeks.

Borussia Dortmund are also thought to be keen on Bernard, but White Hart Lane has now emerged as a likely destination for the player.

"Dortmund have not submitted a proposal," Hissa Moyses told O Jogo. "Therefore, Tottenham are the only contenders."

Bernard is currently on international duty with hosts Brazil at the Confederations Cup.
