Manchester United 'closing in on Atletico Madrid striker Mario Mandzukic'

Manchester United are reportedly close to recruiting Atletico Madrid striker Mario Mandzukic.

The Croatian international is intent on leaving Spain following a bust-up with manager Diego Simeone, and the Red Devils are the frontrunners for his signature, according to The Sun.

Mandzukic, who scored 20 goals in 37 games for Atletico last season, is said to be valued at around £36m.

Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur have previously been linked with the forward.
