Report: Atletico Madrid close to Raul Jimenez capture

Atletico Madrid are reportedly close to signing Mexico international Raul Jimenez.

The 23-year-old caught the attention of the Spanish champions when he represented Club America in a pre-season friendly against Atletico earlier this summer.

According to AS, Atletico have agreed a deal in the region of £8m for the forward, who has scored four times in three matches this season.

Jimenez, who travelled with Mexico to the World Cup this summer, made his first-team debut for Club America in 2010.
