Yannick Carrasco, Nicolas Gaitan leave Atletico Madrid for China

Atletico Madrid announce that Yannick Carrasco and Nicolas Gaitan have both left the club to sign for Chinese Super League side Dalian Yifang.

Atletico Madrid have confirmed that both Yannick Carrasco and Nicolas Gaitan have agreed to sign for Dalian Yifang.

Last week, reports suggested that Dalian - who have regained their place in the Chinese Super League - were prepared to pay just over £26m to sign Carrasco.

Over the weekend, Dalian were also linked with a move for Gaitan, who has remained on the periphery of Diego Simeone's squad during the current campaign.

Neither player was involved in Atletico's 5-2 triumph over Sevilla on Sunday night, and the Spanish giants have now revealed that a deal is in place with Dalian.

Carrasco leaves having scored 23 goals in 124 appearances for Atletico, while Gaitan netted four times in 49 outings after signing from Benfica in July 2016.

Defender Jose Fonte has also moved to Dalian having been allowed to leave West Ham United.
