Atletico Madrid say that they will be stronger without Radamel Falcao next season.

Atletico Madrid chief executive Miguel Angel Gil Marin has insisted that the club will be stronger next season without striker Radamel Falcao.

The Colombian is expected to leave the Vicente Calderon in the summer, with a number of top European clubs being touted as the forward's next destination.

However, having seen the likes of Fernando Torres, Diego Forlan and Sergio Aguero all leave in the recent past, Marin feels that Atletico will be able to cope without Falcao.

"Atletico knows how to change good strikers," Marin told Sky Sports News. "Fernando Torres, Forlan, Aguero and now Falcao.

"We don't know who exactly will be the next one but we know Atletico will have a strong team next season."

Falcao has scored 32 goals for the club this season.
