Atletico Madrid 'join Keita Balde Diao race'

Atletico Madrid are in the race to sign Lazio attacker Keita Balde Diao in this summer's transfer window, according to a report.

Atletico Madrid are reportedly in the hunt to sign Lazio forward Keita Balde Diao this summer.

The 21-year-old is widely expected to leave his Italian club in this transfer window and it is understood that he failed to turn up for pre-season training last week.

Former club Barcelona and Real Madrid have previously been credited with an interest in the Senegal international, but according to AS, it is Atletico that are currently pursing the attacker.

Spanish-born Diao, who has a contract with Lazio until the summer of 2018, has scored 10 times in 77 appearances for his current club.
