Daniel Aranzubia joins Atletico Madrid

Spanish goalkeeper Daniel Aranzubia has completed his move from Deportivo La Coruna to Atletico Madrid.

The 33-year-old, who underwent a medical on Tuesday, is expected to provide cover for Thibaut Courtois in the new campaign.

"I am pleased to have joined such a big team like this. I'm very happy and eager to start work," he told reporters at a press conference.

"I am aware that Atleti already have some great goalkeeper, but I have come here to do a job. I have not spoken to [Diego] Simeone, but I'm going to train later today."

Aranzubia began his professional career at Athletic Bilbao.
