Miranda returns to Atletico Madrid training

Atletico Madrid defender Miranda has returned to training following an ankle injury.

It had been feared that the 28-year-old Brazilian would be sidelined for a number of months with ligament damage, but he has recovered quicker than expected.

The centre-back joined Atletico from Sao Paolo on a three-year deal in January 2011.

Atletico return to La Liga action on March 31 when they host Valencia.
