Jose Gimenez released from hospital

Atletico Madrid defender Jose Gimenez has been released from hospital following a collision in Sunday's 2-0 win over Deportivo La Coruna.

The centre-back, who was given the nod in defence due to Miranda's absence, suffered a head injury during the La Liga clash at the Vicente Calderon.

Gimenez was subsequently admitted to hospital, but following a CT scan, he has now been released without any ill effects.

The 19-year-old is widely regarded as one of the most promising youngsters in European football.
