Diego Costa hoping to be fit for Getafe clash

Atletico Madrid forward Diego Costa has reportedly been in the gym all weekend as he attempts to pass a fitness test ahead of next weekend's league clash with Getafe.

The 25-year-old was expected to make his Spain debut this week, but was forced to withdraw after picking up a thigh injury last weekend.

It had been claimed that the Brazil-born forward would miss the rest of November with the problem, but reports in Spain have suggested that he could be fit for the fixture against Getafe.

Costa, who has scored 13 league goals this season, has emerged into one of the best strikers in European football.
