Getafe's Karim Yoda to miss remainder of the season

Getafe attacker Karim Yoda will miss the remainder of the season after undergoing surgery on a serious knee injury.

Getafe have been hit with the news that attacker Karim Yoda will miss the remainder of the season with a serious knee injury.

The 26-year-old came on in the latter stages of his team's 2-0 defeat at Atletico Madrid on Saturday, but barely lasted 10 minutes after picking up an injury.

Yoda went straight to hospital and Getafe have now revealed that the Frenchman suffered a tear to his patellar ligament in his right knee, which required immediate surgery to repair the damage.

According to AS, the surgery was successful, but Yoda will miss the remainder of the 2014-15 season.

The attacker is contracted to his Spanish club until next summer.
