Aduriz 'has not heard from Del Bosque'

Athletic Bilbao striker Aritz Aduriz has revealed that he 'has not heard' from Spain boss Vicente del Bosque, amid suggestions that the 35-year-old will be included in the next La Roja squad.

On Friday, Del Bosque will select a 23-man squad for the upcoming international friendlies against Italy and Romania, and it has been claimed that Chelsea striker Diego Costa will be left out.

Calls for Aduriz, who has scored 30 goals this season, to be included have gathered pace in recent weeks, but the veteran has claimed that he is still in the dark.

"He hasn't called me. The national team is a team in which there are great players, and it shouldn't be easy for the coach to make a decision. I have, personally and professionally, a lot of respect for the coach," Aduriz told Onda Cero.

The experienced striker has only ever gained one cap for Spain and that was back in 2010.
