Atalanta boss Edy Reja unhappy with performance against Juventus

Atalanta manager Edy Reja is left unhappy by his team's performance following a 2-0 away defeat to Serie A champions Juventus.

Atalanta BC manager Edy Reja has criticised his team's performance during their 2-0 away defeat to Juventus.

The hosts have struggled this season and went into the game 14th in Serie A, but came out winners against Atalanta thanks to goals from Paulo Dybala and Mario Mandzukic.

Despite insisting that his side would not underestimate the Italian champions earlier this week, he was left disappointed by the display on offer from La Dea.

"We were unfortunate to face a resurgent Juve," he told Rai Sport. "We tried to attack but coming to Turin is always very difficult.

"To make things worse Juventus had an in-form Dybala who scored a ridiculous goal that came when we were in the ascendency.

"We started well but we became far too tentative to even hope to rescue a point. I was hoping for a lot more personality and character from my team."

Atalanta sit ninth in Serie A, and are next in action against Lazio on Wednesday.
