Aston Villa forward Scott Hogan has been handed his first call-up to the Republic of Ireland squad.
Hogan was born in Salford, but the 25-year-old qualifies to represent the Green Army through having two Irish grandparents.
The frontman has endured a disappointing start to his career at Villa, netting just one goal in 21 Championship appearances, but boss Martin O'Neill has opted to look at Hogan at the earliest opportunity.
O'Neill is quoted by BBC Sport as saying: "Scott has got the paperwork through and he is available to us".
Hogan comes into contention for his debut, with Burnley forward Jonathan Walters missing from the 32-man squad through injury.body check tags ::
