Jed Steer joins Doncaster Rovers on loan

Doncaster Rovers have announced that they have signed Jed Steer on loan from Aston Villa for the start of the 2014-15 season.

The 21-year-old will spend three months with Paul Dickov's side, who were relegated from the Championship at the end of the last campaign.

Doncaster had been in need of an additional keeper following the departures of Ross Turnbull and Jon Maxted this summer.

Steer featured in three cup matches for Villa last season.
