Aston Villa midfielder Charles N'Zogbia targets a return to the international setup with France.

Aston Villa midfielder Charles N'Zogbia has revealed that he wants to return to the France international setup.

The 26-year-old has made just two appearances for his national side, but he remains confident that he can gain a place in the next squad.

"If you perform well for a club, then they see you and give you the chance to be there. If you don't perform well, then you don't get picked," he told Sky Sports News.

Meanwhile, N'Zogbia refused to reveal whether he is "happy" with life at Villa this season.

"I am not saying if I am happy or not," he said. "At the time I am fine and with the new manager, we just need time to get to know each other well and then we will see."

N'Zogbia has scored just two goals for Villa since joining in 2011.
