Bob Bradley not expecting Aston Villa call

Stabaek boss Bob Bradley admits that he is not expecting to be contacted about Aston Villa's managerial vacancy.

Stabaek manager Bob Bradley has admitted that he is not expecting to become the next manager of Aston Villa.

The Midlands outfit are currently looking for a new boss following the exit of Tim Sherwood over the weekend, with Bradley, Remi Garde and Nigel Pearson among the names linked with the post.

However, former United States coach Bradley has insisted that he is fully focused on his current role.

"I think Aston Villa have many other options," he told Norwegian newspaper Dagbladet.

"My name has been linked to many clubs in recent times, but I've only had direct contact with one club in the years I've been here. I'm not waiting to hear something concrete from [Villa].

"All I can say about this is that in recent weeks there have been some calls from clubs looking for managers. But my focus is only on Stabaek. We have two games left, so we'll see what happens when the season is over."

Bradley's son Michael Bradley spent six months on loan at Villa in 2011.
