Marc Albrighton confident of beating Newcastle United

Aston Villa midfielder Marc Albrighton believes that his side can carry on their "superb" away form away at Newcastle United on Sunday.

Aston Villa midfielder Marc Albrighton believes that his team are capable of capitalising on Newcastle United's poor form when they face each other on Sunday.

Newcastle have lost their last three matches without scoring a goal, and with Villa only suffering four defeats in 13 outings on the road this season, Albrighton is confident that the West Midlands outfit can earn a result at St James' Park.

The 24-year-old told the Birmingham Mail: "Our away form has been superb this season. If we play half as well as we did against Cardiff and create half as many chances, we can get something at Newcastle.

"For the last couple of years, we've been better away, which is strange, but if we can keep going to places and getting results, we'll be happy."

Villa currently sit in 12th position in the Premier League table, three places behind Newcastle.
