Aston Villa's Gabriel Agbonlahor: 'We won't get carried away with result'

Gabriel Agbonlahor insists that Aston Villa will not get "carried away" following their 4-0 triumph over Sunderland at the weekend.

Aston Villa's Gabriel Agbonlahor has insisted that he and his teammates will keep their feet on the ground following their impressive victory over Sunderland.

Tim Sherwood's side are fighting for survival in the bottom half of the Premier League table and pulled themselves to three points clear of the drop with a 4-0 away win over the Black Cats on Saturday.

"We don't get carried away with the good times and we don't get too down with the bad times - it's swings and roundabouts," Agbonlahor told the club's official website.

"Everyone has belief. To come away to a team like Sunderland, who have good players, and beat them 4-0 just shows the quality we've got on the pitch, on the bench and how together we are. We are all fighting for the club and that showed and it will continue."

Villa's next game is against Swansea City on home turf.
