Gabriel Agbonlahor has been confirmed as the new captain of Aston Villa.
The 25-year-old has taken over the role from Stiliyan Petrov, who was diagnosed with leukaemia on Friday afternoon.
Agbonlahor was handed the armband during Saturday's 4-2 home loss to Chelsea and it has now been announced that he will continue the job on a permanent basis.
The striker made his Villa debut in 2005.
