Shay Given: 'Aston Villa will not be overawed at Wembley'

Shay Given has claimed that Aston Villa won't be overawed by the occasion of an FA Cup semi-final when they play Liverpool at Wembley this afternoon.

Given revealed that the whole squad are excited about the trip to Wembley, but the Irish goalkeeper wants to remember the day with a victory over Brendan Rodgers's side.

"We're all excited about it, we're all looking forward to the game and it's a great occasion for the club, the players and the fans," he told reporters.

"But we don't want to just remember it for the day, we want to get to the final and we want to win the game. We know it'll be tough, of course. Liverpool are a great team, but we want to get to the final."

The winners of this afternoon's clash will meet Arsenal in May's final after the Gunners edged out Reading on Saturday.
