Darren Bent doubtful for Euro 2012

Darren Bent's participation at Euro 2012 has been thrown into doubt by an ankle injury.

The England international was stretchered off during Aston Villa's 0-0 draw with Wigan Athletic at the weekend.

He visited a specialist earlier today, where he was informed that the problem will keep him out of action for around three months, according to reports.

That would keep him sidelined until the last week of May, with the Championships due to get underway just a week later.
